WASTEWATER ROTARY DRUM SCREEN IS/R SERIES
The wastewater rotary drum screen separates suspended solids from liquid flows. The liquid is pump-fed to the internal surge tank, from where it flows over a weir onto the inner surface of the wedge wire drum. The liquid flows through the wedge wire apertures and captured by the sump located on the under side of the rotating drum. The solids are captured on the inside surface of the wedge wire drum, from where it is pushed out at the discharge end of the drum by means of angled flights mounted on the inside surface of the rotating drum. Automatic cleaning is achieved by means of internal and external spray bars.
Features:
- Separation of suspended solids from liquid flows
- Effluent inlet is centre-fed to rotating screen drum
- Screened solids are captured on drum inner surface and discharged at the open end
- Filtrate is collected underneath by liquids sump and discharged by flanged outlet
- Screen drum is automatically cleaned by internal and external spray nozzles
- Proven, rugged, reliable, high quality and low maintenance
